When Myofascial Pain starts, it’s easy to think “oh it’s just an ache and will go away tomorrow”. Or maybe you assume you just need to move your body more - ex: sat for too long). Even worse, maybe you think “it’s normal” because you’re getting older…
Is that how you’re feeling right now? If so, you’re not alone. In fact, everyday at Rendon Physical Therapy we help people the Inland Empire who feel this way. You see, with Myofascial Pain, everyone asks us the same questions… Why do I hurt so much? (I don’t even know what I did…) Why isn’t this Myofascial Pain going away? Am I going to have to live with Myofascial Pain forever? Unfortunately, there’s a lot of bad information out there that causes people to live with Myofascial Pain for way too long. Here are the most common mistakes we see the people of the Inland Empire making when it comes to Myofascial Pain... Mistake #1: Thinking Myofascial Pain will go away with rest. Mistake #2: Believing that Myofascial Pain will be “fixed” with painkillers. Mistake #3: Assuming Myofascial Pain is a “normal” part of getting older… Mistake #4: Believing that since you tried other healthcare professionals (maybe even Physical Therapy) in the past means that it won’t work now. Mistake #5: Relying on “Dr. Google” or YouTube for exercises that didn’t make any difference (or maybe even made your Myofascial Pain worse!) Mistake #6: Getting relaxing massages to temporary relieve Myofascial Pain, only to find it comes back after the massage wears off. Have you been making these mistakes? If any of this has happened to you, we want to say “we are sorry”...but remind you that you’re not alone. In fact, we see people just like you every day. And that’s why we’ve created a free Myofascial Pain guide for you. It goes over 5 strategies to start reducing your own Myofascial Pain (and you can click on the button above to download it). But maybe you feel like you’ve read a lot of free information on the internet, and really just want to talk to someone about your problem. Is that you? If so, then we have a special opportunity for you (one that VERY FEW clinics offer). We save a limited number of spots each week for time for people who are not sure what to do about their Myofascial Pain. That way, you can tell a professional your story, and get your question answered first, before ever making a commitment to book an appointment. Does that sound like something you would like to do? Here’s the most important thing… Most people get stuck trying to make a decision about what to do next. They go days, weeks, months (even years!) without taking action. The one thing we can guarantee is that by doing nothing, your Myofascial Pain won’t get better. So the next important thing is to take action. |

"I've had many injuries and many PT's but this time around it was different. Abel Rendon utilized a combination of traditional PT skills in concert with hands on Myofascial Release. I was being treated for a broken femur in 3 places, I was non- weight bearing for 12 weeks. I honestly didn't think I would ever walk again. Abel took me from walker to crutches to a cane to a normal gate. The biggest gains were achieved with his hands-on approach. The return of strength was only achievable through stretching and lengthening of my muscles, that had been kept in a holding position due to the injury. I would have been happy at that point with my progress, but Abel knew I wanted to return to my pre-injured fitness level. This was where having access to his state-of-the-art equipment and machinery brought my strength back and eventually running under his supervision. Last weekend I hiked 10 miles and can say I'm back to preinjury fitness all because of the care I received from Rendon Physical Therapy."

"With the myofascial work and learning to stretch better, I am now able to squat to parallel and sometimes getting below without pain during or after the workouts. He has work on my thoracic girdle (mid-back and rib cage) and head and neck. I have increased flexibility, range of motion, and increased muscle strength. An added benefit that I attribute to Dr. Rendon's work on me is the ability to now smell. I lost all sense of smell about 2 years ago and the doctors don't know why it happened. With the cranial myofascial work (upper neck and head), I am gradually able to smell more wonderful fragrances. yes, even the smelly ones. I am very thankful and grateful to Dr. Rendon for helping to give me the ability to move and be active. I was looking at gradually not being able to bend over, get off the floor, and many other things before Dr. Rendon worked his magic. Thank you, Abel!"

“I am an 80-year-old female with Chronic Osteoporosis. I have had physical therapy for the last two and a half years with several different facilities. Limited to what they could provide and what my insurance would cover. There was really no lasting help. I am very happy to have found Rendon Physical Therapy with Myofascial Release in Loma Linda. I receive hands on, full body treatment from head to toe. That is what I have needed all this time! Helping me tremendously. Dr. Rendon and staff are “tops’’ in my book. I recommend him highly. I have personal, individual treatment to fit “My Needs!”
